As a teenager I noticed that Uncle Nick spelled his last name different than we did. I questioned my Grandmother about the difference because he was my Grandfathers blood brother. According to my Grandmother that when Nick went into the Army during WW I they spelled his name Palmer instead of Parmer and he didn’t correct them. So he became Nick Palmer. He and his wife Rose never had any children.
